We waited all year, and it finally arrived, 2 amazing days of the world’s longest running rum festival in its 19th year! WOW.
Saturday was a sold out road block and Sunday quickly followed suit with another jam packed festival with eagerly awaiting rum lovers all united in the love of all things lifestyle, culture, tropical foods, masterclasses, music and of course rum!.
There were so many new brands like The Curist, HaLong Rum, Matugga, Caleno, Camikara, Chinola, Kakira Distillery, Jolly’s, Hawksbill, and of course old favourites like FourSquare, Worth Park, Mount Gay, Kromanti, Windrush, El Dorado, etc.
Was also great to see The Rum Girl aka Garnett Phillip fly in to do her very own masterclass for the first time alongside knowledgeable rum influencers like Panellist Alexander Kong (Worthy Park, Jamaica Rum) Ashera Goonewardene (Rhum Clement, Martinique) Liam Holyoak-Rackal (Global Ambassador of Havana Club Rum) discussing Caribbean rums’ legacy from Jamaica, Martinique, and Cuba that has shaped the global rum landscape.
