What an awesome night of rum edutainment, great discussions, laughter and of course an exclusive dive into 4 rums from around the world making their debut to a private audience rum tasting hosted by Global rum ambassador Ian Burrell at the award-winning Trailer Happiness rum bar as a celebration pre-launch party to 3 days of UK Rumfest.
The 4 rums showcased were Reign, The Curatist, Halong Rum & Ron Abuelo, followed by some Port Royal Patties to soak up the flavours. Each rum had a unique and interesting backstory, and we were treated to a few of the founders and creators of the rums to tell the story in their own words. What an array of wonderful aromas and from grassy, sweet, fruity to tantalising on the taste buds!
The audience were guided through each rum with some background on the rum company as Ian dived in and out of educational and entertaining history and rum cultural stories, we got to sip and experience each rum and were treated to an exclusive daiquiri created by Ian.
