Yes that’s right folks, did you know that as well as our beloved golden spirit produced in the hot tropical climates of the Caribbean, this distilled liquid knowledge has found its way and is breaking new ground in… errr sunny Glasgow!! Jokes aside, there are now bona-fide Scottish distillers crafting rum, all done in various parts of Scotland.
The Scottish Rum Festival started in 2020 to a virtual audience with host Peter Holland an educator in the category for a number of years, not to mention UK Brand Ambassador for Foursquare and Doorly’s rum. Peter will also be hosting again this year in a number of masterclasses.

Whether you’re a rum newcomer or seasoned connoisseur, The Scottish Rum Festival is this year’s unmissable drink’s event. Explore the very best of Scotland’s rich rum heritage and the exciting explosion of the nation’s emerging rum scene. Brands like Matugga, Island Slice, North point Distillery, J Gow and much more will be exhibiting. This is a chance to meet the makers of Scottish rums, ask questions, attend informative masterclasses, but of course none of that would be any good if there were no sampling!

There will be plenty of opportunity to taste these exciting brands at their stands as well as in masterclasses where more in depth information will be shared. These classes have to be booked.
