So I first experienced this creamy delight on a holiday to the Dominican Republic, I know what better way than to have my first ever PIÑA COLADA in the tropical beaming sunshine by the sea served in a coconut shell! So yes I was lucky enough to be all-inclusive, so you know how the rest of the holiday went ;p. This is a perfect beginner cocktail to make and to enjoy. It’s creamy, not overly sweet and not too strong. The fact it’s frozen also means you will take your time and sip responsibly, because let’s face it, one glass is not enough.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 fl oz. (50 ml) light Puerto Rican rum
- 5 tsp cream of coconut
- 5 tsp double cream
- 5 fl oz. (150 ml) fresh homemade pineapple juice (if not good quality carton of fresh juice)
- 75g crushed ice
Instructions
- add all ingredients to a blender
- blend for 15 secs
- serve in a poco grande () glass
- garnish with slice of pineapple
