This year at the UK Rumfest a special award was secretly announced on the main stage by its founder, Global Rum Ambassador, Ian Burrell. Luca Gargano of Velier was awarded Rum Heritage Award 2025 for his outstanding contribution to the rum category.
He was so happy he could not stop dancing and saw it as a huge surprise and great honor:
