When Rumora got invited to attend The House Of Angostura UK launch of their reimagined contemporary new look for its award-winning rums in the UK, taking its household name beyond the iconic go-to bitters, we knew the night was going to be something pretty special!
Hosted at London Bridge’s stunning Nine Lives Bar, we were greeted with warm welcomes and a wonderful rum tasting in a room full of hospitality sector decision makers.

Guided by the global Angostura Ambassador, Daniyel Jones, who always lights up the room with a huge smile and bellowing laughter, he took us on a journey of Angosturas beautiful new look rum bottles with their iconic butterfly logo, with 4 flavour profiles to enjoy.

Daniyel was joined by Master Blender & new product manager Ariana Maharaj, who commented: “Here at Angostura, we are globally renowned for our influence and historical shaping of flavour in cocktails. We are now delighted to share these modern packaging designs to welcome UK Angostura fans, new and old, into our world of flavour and rum-making beyond bitters, inspired by the vibrant cultural roots of our home in Trinidad.”

Angostura is more than just a brand; it represents a rich history that spans over 200 years, rooted in the art of crafting exceptional spirits and bitters. Founded in the early 19th century,

Angostura has become synonymous with quality and tradition, establishing itself as an iconic name for its blending and ageing legacy. This longstanding heritage is built on a commitment to excellence, meticulous craftsmanship, and innovative spirit, which have been passed down for centuries.

After the guided tasting, everyone got to enjoy a bar full of great cocktails, delish hot food, desserts and a special cocktail making competition, won by lucky girl Lexi. She was greeted with the full Angostura guided rum collection. All guests were also left with a premium goody bag parting gift with a full bottle of 1919 Grand reserve and a limited edition Angostura Bitters! Which was the perfect ending to a tropical celebration of legacy, culture and stunning rums.

The new rums have received over 300 accolades, including leading global competitions: the International Spirits Challenge and can be found at many great online retailers ranging from £20-£50 RRP.
