When you think of parrot, a very loud and colourful bird comes to mind, but this is the black parrot and a rum bar stocked to the ceiling (no joke) with rums from around the world with a cost that would suit a modest to premium budget.
The bar is located at Merchant House, not an easy find as it’s hidden off a backstreet! I found out the hard way, so leave in plenty of time if attending for the first time, lol. Once inside it has a very nice vibe, modestly sized, so if you like somewhere not too large but enough to have a nice gathering of friends, then it’s a nice spot to hang. Also, plenty of chairs at the bar to admire the vast array of 300 rums on offer! One of the world’s largest rum collections waiting to be explored.
No idea what you want or where to start? No problem. The award-winning bar staff are on hand to ask you a variety of questions and offer you a suggestion that will give you pure joy in a glass! Either neat or a mixed cocktail, there really is something for everyone.
